State of Osun Ministry of Women, Children and Social Affairs today Tuesday, 26th May, 2020 commences the activities marking this year’s celebration of Children’s Day.

According to the release, the outbreak of COVID19 pandemic has limited the funfare which marks the Day. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Promoting Female Child Education for sustainable development” Variety of programs have been lined up to commemorate the Day on Radio stations, Television stations and social media platforms.
The outlined programs commence on the 26th of May with counseling on the topic “School Girl Dropout and Teenage Pregnancy to be aired on OSBC Radio between 11-11:30am, Discussion Session on Rave Fm featuring Kamorudeen Ridwan (the secondary school boy who came 1st in the last Jamb and Akintade Abdullah who was the overall best in the last Science and Technology competition) on the same day.
On the 27th of May, there shall be a Newstalk on “Promoting Girl Child Education for Sustainable Development” on OSBC Radio and Rave Fm by 6am. An interesting debate session between schools in the State comes up same day on same medium by 12:30 with a repeat on Rave Fm at 4:30 same day.
A Yoruba program will come up on Thursday, the 28th of May by 5:30pm commemorating the day comes up “Ojuse Obinrin” on OSBC Radio.
